Steal An Egg Hungry Monster: Historical Route and Name Checks
A historical feeding guide with clear item-name and consumption checks, rather than an assumption that every Monster-related label means the same object.
The reviewed Hungry Monster guide describes an August 29–September 5, 2026 event in which Infested Eggs feed a hunger bar for a chest. Other sources use Parasite, Monstrous and Monster Egg labels with different scopes. This research does not establish that the old event is available now or that all those names identify one current reward pool.
The feeding route belongs to a dated event
AllThingsHow’s report names the August 29–September 5 event window, a creature near the Sell Shop, and Infested Eggs as feed. It describes each egg as adding 20% to the bar and being consumed, so five would fill it under that reported rule. The old end date must remain with the instructions.
- First check whether the named event and feeding interface are present in your session.
- Read the accepted egg type and the current reward explanation.
- Use an eligible egg you are willing to consume, not one you intend to hatch.
- Follow the visible feed control and verify the bar change.
- At completion, check the received chest or reward before repeating.
Separate related names by object type
The community Wiki maps the Parasite mutation to the internal name Monstrous and distinguishes a Parasite reward egg from the purchasable Monster Egg collection. That mapping is configuration research; it should not erase different names used by dated guides. Record whether a label refers to a mutation, egg, chest or event.

| Label you see | Inspect |
|---|---|
| Infested Egg | Whether it is accepted as feed in the current event |
| Monster Chest | Its own displayed reward pool |
| Monster / Monstrous Egg | The egg identity, source and outcome list |
| Parasite / Monstrous mutation | The pet’s actual mutation field |
| Purchased egg offer | Its price and pool, separate from feeding |
Do not mix two levels of chance
A chest’s chance to award an egg and that egg’s chance to hatch a particular pet are different stages. Even with known values, you would need compatible conditions to combine them. No current reconciled chest-plus-hatch probability table is established here, and a guaranteed feeding threshold would not make every rare pet guaranteed.
If the creature or egg is absent
Check for a later event notice or changed reward route. The old guide can explain why players use a name, but it cannot prove the feature survives today. Keep ordinary progression as the next plan until the current interface supports this historical route.
The old guide’s shorthand “any biome” and its narrower biome list are not a complete current spawn rule. Feeding availability and current name-to-pool mapping remain unresolved.
Common questions
How do I get a Monster Chest and the Monstrous mutation?
The historical guide says feeding five eligible Infested Eggs fills the bar for a Monster Chest. The Wiki maps Parasite to Monstrous, but the current mutation route, chest pool and event availability need separate confirmation.
